Selfishness in Different Forms

These days "selfishness" or egoism seems to come in different forms: self-glory, self-promotion, self-seeking, self-righteousness; being self-willed, self-centred; and not to forget the many ego-clashes that we may be involved in.The age of narcissism, or so it seems. Jesus calls us to do (be) precisely the contrary: self-denial, self-abnegation, self-love leading to love God and others.
